AV Manufacturers Reps are a vital part of Crimson AV’s workforce. They are our “boots on the ground”, and an important extension of our sales force. They help us by identifying potential customers and opportunities. They attend tradeshows and conferences and network regularly to grow our reach in the marketplace.
Crimson would like to take this opportunity to shine a light on our manufacturers reps in a spot we like to call Crimson’s AV REPertoire Review. These articles aim to highlight the focus on Audio Visual Manufacturers Representatives while capturing the essence of their work and contributions to the industry.
In this edition of our REPertoire Review, we had a chance to interview Jim Bowles, President of eTicket AV. Find out more about Crimsons’ Western rep.
Interview with Jim Bowles, President of ETicket AV. http://www.eticketav.com/
- Repname & Territories covered.
ETicket AV covers the Southwest states of Arizona, Southern California, Nevada, And New Mexico.
- History of partnership w/ Crimson AV.
We are a relatively new rep for Crimson as we started in April of this year but have been in the industry for over 25 years.
- Why do you LOVE Crimson AV?
There are so many reasons. First, they are really a fantastic bunch of people to work with. They are open to listening to suggestions. This coupled with their great portfolio of products, great prices, and inventory in stock- and ready to ship… what more could you ask for?
- Besides Crimson, who’s your biggest brand crush in AV?
As an AVL rep firm, we’d love all the brands on our line card. They all bring a lot to the table and can be found in places like entertainment venues, eSports/Education environments, Sports venues, hospitality, and in live events or productions. - What’s are some emerging trends you’re most interested in?
Our industry is constantly changing so this is a difficult question. I suppose dvLED and the creative video content side. Case in point the Las Vegas Sphere. I’m sure this project will have a huge impact on nearly every dvLED project in the future.
- What’s your group’s biggest strength?
Our relationships are key, and the ability to be agile to emerging trends. I’d also think that we truly value education and make materials available to our clients on our website.
- What’s your favorite part of a project? Or most challenging?
Our favorite part of a project is teaching others in the field. When you’re able to able to pass on some knowledge and really get someone fired up on a product – that’s really fulfilling.
- What’s one way you always prepare for a project?
Ask a bunch of questions, try to gather information, and discover what the client’s goals are. We try to be as proactive and prepared as possible.
- What would be your dream project?
Our dream project would involve us early on and offer us the ability to impact the project on multiple levels. We are very effective in this manner.
- What’s your favorite project that you’ve worked on?
The City Center in Las Vegas NV is my favorite. It was a HUGE project that took several years to complete. During this time, I personally met so many fantastic people. Many of them have become long term friends. Large projects like this are challenging but fun to work on.
- Why do you love AV?
This community has a lot to offer. It’s always exciting, changing, there’s rarely a dull moment, plus there are so many great people in the industry.
- What advice would you give to those new to the AV industry?
Immerse yourself in the technology, in the process, and above all…enjoy it.
