By Will Bear, VP of Sales & Marketing for Crimson AV
Okay, there is less than a month before the CI Expo that is co-located with CEDIA on September 6-9 in Denver. For those who have not yet planned to go, you should. Forget all the marketing “speak” and consider what’s in it for you personally. The CI Expo falls under the umbrella of something we all seek and that is the umbrella of new opportunities. CEIDA/CI Expo gives you the opportunity to see the latest and greatest in the world of audio, video, and control technologies that provide the foundation for what we do. And of course, the Crimson AV team will be there.
You have the opportunity to experience the blending of residential and commercial in our new favorite buzz word, “resimercial.” For those who don’t know, this is a blending of both camps and creates new business opportunities that we all need to understand, and many will want to embrace. Wrap your arms around the fact that it is not “either or” but rather “and”.
There is the opportunity to learn. At CEDIA/CI Expo there are many classes to join! These are not seminars on random topics, rather ones carefully targeted for your use in your business. They span the AV and Digital Signage world we live in from explanations about the technologies and trends in all the major categories to design and integration and business best practices, just to name a few. By the way, I will be co-presenting a class on the importance of choosing the best partners.
Last but not least, CI Expo and CEDIA presents the opportunity to mingle and chat face to face. Virtual is fine but it does not replace pressing the flesh, sharing experiences, and connecting directly with those around you. Think about relationships. This is a perfect way to renew ones that may have become dormant and to create new ones that become win/win for everyone. So, the answer to what’s in it for you is… opportunities that can positively affect your business in the coming year. Knowledge is strength and relationships make the world go around. The CI Expo provides both in spades.
