The DSE is All About the Experience

For those of you who have not made up your mind yet to attend or participate in the upcoming DSE… put the exhibit floor on the side for just a moment (but don’t forget to come to Crimson AV booth # 305!) and consider the vast number of learning experiences you will be exposed to at the event. I took the time to go to the DSE site and looked in depth at the list of speakers and then at the individual seminars and panels. Don’t if you are not impressed, you should be. In sheer numbers, there are 65 experts who are there to share their knowledge with you. There over 30 seminars from which to choose on nearly every topic imaginable.

To kick off each day of the event there are keynote speakers who are impressive to say the least. These speakers cover some of the biggest topics facing digital signage today and tomorrow. Here is an overview of each keynote presenter:

In every article on major trends in digital signage the concept of AI is mentioned. The DSE is kicked off by Refik Anadol a pioneer in the aesthetics of machine intelligence. He was the first to use artificial intelligence in a public immersive artwork having partnered with teams at Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, Intel, IBM, Panasonic, JPL/NASA, Siemens, Epson, MIT, Harvard, UCLA, Stanford University, and UCSF, to apply the latest, cutting-edge science, research, and technologies to his body of work.

You want big? Then how about SoFi Stadium and none other than Jason Cothern the Vice President of Broadcast and Production at SoFi and Hollywood Park. You definitely want to hear that story from the team leader who made it happen.

So, you want to hear about web platforms? How about from Naveen Viswanatha a veteran technology leader who currently leads the ChromeOS product and engineering teams focused on key solution areas such as contact centers, virtualization and app streaming, and kiosks in addition to developing the next generation enterprise web platform capabilities.

You can come a day early before the exhibit floor opens and get certified with the Digital Signage Certified Experts (DSCE) program and join the professionals in 64 countries that have been DSCE certified. You can take a Digital Signage Experience Field Tour and see digital signage in practice. Then you can wrap up that evening and attend the Sixteen: Nine Mixer hosted by Dave Haynes and network until your hearts content.

Thursday night after the show will not be dull either, with an event at Able Baker Brewing hosted by XUSC and rAVe. CrimsonAV is a proud sponsor of the celebration that boasts great brew on tap, tasty treats, live music from HaleAmanO, and a few other “digital surprises.” Get off the strip and hang out with us for what will be a great night in Vegas!

Ultimately the point I want to make is that the DSE is going to be an experience beyond the obvious benefits of seeing all the exhibits and being exposed to the latest and greatest in hardware and software. The DSE is designed as an industry focused event with the professional growth of the attendees as a major focus. Take advantage of the learning opportunities and no matter your current level of experience or expertise, you will find unexpected things of value at the show. See you there…
