The Digital Signage Experience is now a “wrap” as our broadcast friends like to say. The DSE was a good event and in many cases lived up to the name experience. It seemed like it was a long time coming but like so many we were glad to have a DSE once again.  As Jonathan Brawn of Brawn Consulting and the co-creator of the DSEG certifications for the digital signage industry is quoted as saying when asked about the DSE, “The industry showed up.” And the good news is that they did “show up”. The show was well run and for an inaugural event, well attended. The exhibit floor was not massive as we have seen with other shows, but that was a good thing. This left space and time for quality conversations that might be untenable or even lost in bigger venues. The speakers were first-rate and the classes universally were very well attended, showing that there is a substantial and growing interest in digital signage. This interest is the fuel that drives shows focused on digital signage and the participation of exhibitors and organizations like the Digital Signage Federation who want to focus on this growing community. This is target marketing at its best.

Demand was there and so was Crimson. We were there front and center on the tradeshow floor. We were a gold sponsor for seminars and events at DSE allowing us to show that Crimson is (truly) More Than Mounts. As staunch supporters of the digital signage community, it was great to meet so many face-to-face, and connect. At Crimson we pride ourselves in that our partners are more than numbers and there is no substitute for those personal connections and collaborations.

Another fun experience we sponsored was the Experience Social Clubs’ Brew Fest during DSE at the Abel Baker Brewing Company. Crimson’s Cerveza Especial was on tap, and so were the good times. Part of the appeal of exhibiting at tradeshows is meeting our partners on the show floor, the other is the many after-hours events, like the XUSC one to take a load off and unwind with our digital signage community friends. Cheers to more events like this one, and a big thanks to Bryan Meszaros, and Megan Dutta and the rAVe team for putting this fun event together.

Lastly, we want to thank our amazing booth partners, Telecine Multimedia, for supplying some incredible eye-catching custom content. Creating a compelling digital signage experience goes hand-in-hand with great content. These partnerships are vital in digital signage, and we sure appreciate ours.

Crimson will continue to support both the AV (residential and commercial) industries and the digital signage community. In our minds, it is not an “either/or” decision, but rather an “and”.  There is so much crossover in these industries that it creates opportunities for all of us. Our team wishes you and yours “Happy Holidays”, and we look forward to helping you with your projects and opportunities in 2023!
